Closeup was born from the idea of a photographer, Fernando Pinto, who for some years worked at a market leader in the photography sector. When he decided to create the company, he teamed up with two friends who were already doing video reports for other companies, and so Closeup was born at the end of 2008. However, it was only in 2009 that the name Closeup appeared in the social reporting photography market. When the company was created, the first issue was creating the name. The word photo was part of many companies in the sector, and it was something that was not intended in the company name. The aim was to create a name that made itself different, that made sense in photography, and the aim was also a short and easy-to-pronounce name.
